Kiara Courchesne- Sales Representative / REALTOR®
Most realtors come from sales. I come from the emergency room.
For eight years, I've worked as a registered nurse — starting as a charge nurse in long-term care before moving into the ER as a travel nurse, with casual shifts in PACU. Nursing taught me things no licensing course can: how to stay calm when everything's urgent, how to assess a situation quickly, and how to advocate fiercely for the people in my care. I bring the same mindset to real estate. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions your family will make — you deserve someone who treats it with that level of seriousness, and who communicates with the clarity of someone used to high-stakes environments.
I also understand houses the way someone who's rebuilt them does. I've renovated and managed my own personal short-term rental and assisted across three other personal home Reno’s — learning the hard way what's worth spending on and what isn't, how to stage a space that photographs beautifully, and what buyers actually notice when they walk through the door. That hands-on experience means I’m realistic with negotiations, spot potential issues other agents miss, and can provide guidance on further investigations to protect your future investment.
And I'm building toward something bigger: my dream is to develop and lead a female-led team building custom cottages across Nova Scotia. That vision shapes how I work today — I think like a developer, not just an agent. I look at land, layouts, and long-term equity. I’m comfortable talking about the dream AND the plan to secure your family home.
Whether you're selling an executive home on the South Shore, buying your first cottage lot, or planning a custom build, I’ll work tirelessly to meet your needs — hands on, fully transparent and a perspective you won't find at a traditional desk
